This notice explains how FreightScout processes personal data and uses cookies or similar browser storage.
Controller
The controller is ImpressMedia, s. r. o. Contact: info@impress.media. You may use this address for privacy questions and requests.
Data we process
The free calculator can store calculation drafts, company details, logos, customers and vehicle profiles locally in your browser. If you create an account or use PRO, we process your email address, login sessions, subscription status, customer and subscription identifiers, and the jobs you choose to save. Technical security logs may include IP address, device and request information.
Why and legal basis
Account, subscription and PRO data are processed to provide the service and perform the contract. Security and abuse prevention are based on our legitimate interests. Optional cookies or analytics require consent. FreightScout currently does not activate advertising or analytics cookies.
Service providers
Stripe processes subscription payments; Resend delivers login codes; the hosting platform stores and serves the application; OpenStreetMap Nominatim and the OSRM routing service receive pickup and delivery searches when you request a route. These providers may receive technical request information such as an IP address.
Cookies and local storage
A secure session cookie is necessary to keep you signed in. Local browser storage remembers your calculator draft, local PRO data and privacy choice. Necessary storage is required for requested functionality. Optional storage remains disabled unless you allow it. You can change your choice from the Privacy settings link in the footer and clear local data in your browser or FreightScout settings.
Retention and security
Account and subscription records are retained while your account is active and as required for payment, accounting, dispute prevention or legal obligations. Expired login codes and sessions are cleaned up. Browser-only data remains on your device until you delete it. We use encrypted HTTPS connections and restrict secret keys to the server.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. You may also complain to your competent data-protection authority. Contact info@impress.media to exercise your rights.
International use
FreightScout is available internationally. Privacy and consumer rules differ by country. This notice applies globally, while mandatory local rights continue to apply.
