The greatest benefit is immediate access to proof of delivery. Invoicing need not wait until the driver returns to the office with paper documents.

The system must handle signatures, amendments, attachments and customer access. If drivers still photograph paper and send it through messages, the process has not really been simplified.

Pilot the complete flow on several jobs, from the order and driver check through accounting and any claim.

Model scenario: delivery is signed at 14:10, the validated e-CMR reaches accounting at 14:13 and the invoice leaves that afternoon. If paper normally returns four days later, the digital process removes four idle days from the billing cycle.
